Proverbs 3:5 (KJV) 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Think on this. You don’t know everything. So, if you trust in All you know, you are hemming yourself in. You are setting a boundary that you will never get past. Only by the Creator of all things can you get past the realm of what you know into the realm of the unknown. When you hit the wall of the extent of your knowledge, you have hit a dead end. You are dead, ended. But God, in His infinite power and ability is well able to go beyond anything you could think or imagine. He can take you from confines of all you think possible into the vast expanses of the impossible. This is the stuff of resurrection, of eternal life. You can be born again. This is Christ.
John 3:1-5 (KJV) 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
So trust in the Lord. There is more to life than living by your own wits. There is God the Father. The Father of humanity. Our Father. Out of Whose love created all that we do know and everything that we don’t. This God so loves us that He wants to make Himself known to us. He wants to walk through this life with us and beyond. He wants to blow our minds out of the restrictions of what we know into the freedom and liberty of knowledge unending. You may be able to move the wall by learning more and more, but the wall still stands. The barrier between the known and the unknown. Only in Christ can you get past the wall of your own understanding.
Ephesians 3:14-21 (KJV) 14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what [is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Proverbs 3:6 (KJV) 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
What do you think? Would you be born again?
1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV)
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
