The Power of God

Updated: Dec 27, 2025

I will not be ashamed of The gospel of Christ!

For it is the power of God unto salvation,

To the Jew first and to the Greek.

Roman’s 1:16

The Gospel of Christ

For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son for the payment and forgiveness of sin  and redemption. For man has separated himself from God in disobedience and rebellion. But Jesus , being sent, came down from Heaven by the Spirit of God, to be born of a virgin, Mary, and to enter into this world. Joseph, knowing his betrothed not to be pregnant by any action of his, sought to quietly put her away. But in a dream was informed that the child was born of the Holy Spirit and His Name is Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

Jesus was born and raised in the culture of the Hebrew under Moses, the law and the prophets. At 12 years old, He astounded the scribes and Pharisees with His deep knowledge of the scriptures. He attested that He was only being about His Father’s business. At 33 years, He began His ministry by the baptism by John where John testified that Jesus is The Son of God. Coming up out of the water, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him and He went into the wilderness to fast, pray and be tested by the devil 40 days. But the Spirit and Word of God were strong in Him and He testified that God’s Word is true and the devil is a liar.

After many days, Jesus began to do miraculous things, He changed water to wine, healed the sick, restored sight to the blind and caused the lame to walk. He called 12 men to follow Him and discipled them. Teaching them that it is not by politics or religious rules that make men righteous, but by the condition and motives of their hearts. That the ways and motives of men are selfish and self-serving and that the love of God does not dwell within them.

He also revealed to them that He was, in fact, the very Son of God and the Savior Messiah written about and prophesied about in the scriptures. That He would be accused of blasphemy, claiming to be God and the Son of God, and sentenced to die through the manipulation and lies of the Jews and their religious rules at the hands of the Roman political system for treason, being identified as a king outside of and in rebellion to Roman law and Caesar. But after being hung on a cross and suffering a gruesome death, was buried in the ground 3 days. But on the 3rd day, in a terrifying display of holy power, the guards at the tomb were struck down and the stone rolled away. Jesus the Christ rose from death and the grave, walking once again before men and His disciples. For many days, He showed Himself to both men and women. Over 500 testifying that they saw Him alive again. After some days, He parted from the disciples and ascended into heaven. Before leaving, Jesus left a final commandment saying, “Go unto the whole world, making disciples of Christ among men. As the disciples looked on, angels appeared and spoke to them asking, “What are you looking at with such wonder and amazement? The Lord you see rising will surely come again in such a way”.

After 50 days, the Holy Spirit of God came upon the disciples in power and authority. A powerful noise was heard in the place and Peter stood up, filled with the Holy Ghost, and preached the kingdom of God. The disciples spoke in tongues in such a way that All people’s heard the word of God in their native tongue. Many believed that Day and accepted the salvation of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and redemption of their lives for eternal life.

This is the gospel of Christ, Who came for the forgiveness and redemption of fallen, sinful man and to establish eternal life with God for those who will believe. He is coming back again to receive all of those who will hear and receive His gift of salvation. So hear this word to you this day and believe so that you may receive His Holy Spirit today and begin your salvation walk in eternal glory now and forever. Amen
