The Wall

You know how some things just seem to repeat? You just don’t get past them. Over and over again the same scenarios play out. That personality you just can’t seem to get along with. That attitude that just won’t leave you alone. That situation that repeats and repeats and repeats. It’s like hitting a wall. Running and running and then BAM!! The wall! Can’t seem to get past it. You back up and try again, but BAM!! No bueno! Not getting through. Trying to get around it, but it just seems to always be in the way, right in front of you. That is what it’s like trying to make it on your own. Without any help from anybody. Nothing ends up going right. At every turn, you need more than you have. More than you are able. It’s bigger than you, better than you, smarter than you. Unbeatable! So just quit fighting. Fighting in your own strength. These repeating cycles are for your good. You battle against flesh and blood, but that is not the issue. The enemy is yourself. Demanding to be in charge, to be top dog. The winner, the toughest, smartest. But you are not. Give it up. There is an enemy that wants you to proudly reject not only the help, but even the idea that you need help. That enemy wants you to defiantly stand on your own and say that you are sufficient in yourself and that there is no help required or necessary. That you are all-powerful and able to overcome any and every situation that stands in way between you and where you intend to go. Between what you want and what you have. Between who you are and who you want to be. That wall is God Himself! The only way thru is by His allowance. Only He can make a way…..and He already has! Jesus Christ is The Way, Jesus Christ is the Open Door! Those who choose to enter, enter thru Him. The problem is not the wall, it is the blindness that prohibits your ability to see The Way thru, to see The Door. You are in the dark, unseeing, unable to get thru. But then…..a thought, a wonder…..is there a way? Curiosity begins to reach out, begins to feel along the wall…..perhaps there is a way?
