I Believe

You ask me why I believe in Jesus..... I ask you why you do not? Do you see the choices? Governments, religion, racism, my way, your way, their way. Every form of division and separation imaginable. “Can’t we all just get along?” Jesus Christ is the only answer to the life we all really want. A life of peace, of joy, of love. A life of relation. A life of unity where all have dignity and respect. We have looked to every other way and find them wanting. Money has not provided. Sex has not satisfied. Drugs and alcohol have not eased the pain. Death still looms on the horizon of every life. Only Christ Jesus offers a real answer to all the desires of humanity. We desire life. Christ has conquered death and risen from the grave. Death is defeated and everlasting life the prize. Money comes and goes. It is made and spent. Gathered in by the sweat of human work, purchased by hours of living. Our time of living reduced to paper and coins. And to what end? So that we can eat, have a place to live, drive a car, wear clothes? Would it be possible to cut out the “middle man” called money? What if humanity embraced the middle man Jesus? His way of sacrifice shows what love really is. He is for us, even while we are not with Him. He knows that we are dying. But He also knows that He can save us. He knows that death is not what we think it is. It is not an end but rather a door. A transition. A movement from one place to another. One realm to another. A transformation, a morph. From a fleshly glory to a spiritual glory. Why do I believe in Jesus? I’m convinced that He is The Savior and Salvation for the whole world, including me :)
