Grace without Truth is Permissiveness

John 14:6 (KJV)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The analogy here is this:
The truth is that the stove is hot. Should you touch it, you can be burned. Grace is that merciful, even miraculous thing that doesn’t allow you to be burned. Grace provides an opportunity to learn the truth without harm. However, if you choose not to learn and insist on touching the hot stove you will eventually be burned. That is truth. If grace is continually extended to prevent the burning, it becomes permissiveness and in effect denies the truth. God does not deny the truth. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. Grace is extended to all of humankind to learn of Him. That they might learn from and of Him to avoid the fires of hell and not be burned for eternity. Jesus teaches humanity that in Him is the way to everlasting life and communion with God. That it is His purpose and mission is to show humanity the truth that it is created by and for God. That there is a great separation between humankind and God. Jesus came from the community of God, in the heaven where that community resides, across the boundaries that separate humankind from it, into the realm of humanity to show that there is a separation and that there is a way between them.
