Lord, I am your child. Calling out to your glory. You are the merciful one and the one of truth. I am unhappy Lord. I search for you daily and I find you everywhere. I see you in the hearts of your people and the beauty you have created on this earth. Lord, I can hear you, but my feet seem rooted. Unable to move. I think I hear your voice, but I wonder if it’s just me. A deception to trick me. I am selfish Lord. I want attention. I fear that I am just faking everybody out to get attention, to glorify myself. Lord, you know my heart. You know what makes me tick. Lord, I ask you for help. Show me the way out of this pit I am in. I am crying. My heart is screaming. The pain and the ugliness surround me and I weep. The pain is mine. The ugliness is mine. I am weak Lord. Please Lord, gird me with Your Holy strength so I can work your will. Show me the way I should go.

Lord, you have refilled me with joy and I thank you. You have purged the darkness from the depths of my heart. I praise your name. Father, I ask you to give me the patience and diligence to hold on to you. I am so weak Lord. Help me. Thank you for opening my mouth with the right things and my wife’s mind to be able to hear. O Lord, I thank you. I love my wife Lord and I know we are to be joined together in the war against darkness under your name. This time of training is so difficult, but I know the strength of God is immeasurable and there is nothing You cannot do. You will guide us.

Lord, you have opened my eyes and shown me some of the reasons for the way things are. The joy of tribulations is quite revealing. The tribulations are an example of your trust in us to be able to handle the things thrown at us by this world. Truly, there are some things we cannot handle and those things are to to be identified and turned over to you. Another example of the joy of tribulation. But there are many things we are required to do. You are not just going to handle everything for us. You are not here to coddle us. We are here to serve you. To be your tools. To be an extension of your glory. Car problems, a typical problem in this world. How do they happen? Usually through neglect. That will preach! Financial problems. How do they happen? Usually through misuse of responsibility. That will preach! Marital problems. How do they happen? Usually through a breakdown in communication, a lack of nurturing that all love needs. That will preach!

In short Lord, we have been trusted by you to identify and correct situations in our lives with your divine guidance and our motivation to glorify you. To be an extension of your glory, it is necessary to work at it. To call upon you for your wisdom but to use our “sweat” that we may show all that your glory is the true light in the darkness we all live in. We are called to minister to the world. To show your Love and find find your lost ones. Lord, with your divine guidance, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Lord, I just want to thank you for the things you have given me. For changing my life. For showing me the glory available to all men through Jesus Christ.

You know, I had an idea last night. I was watching Night Line or something like it and it was covering the starving people in Ethiopia and I had a thought that if we (the Body of Christ), could galvanize and get together, we could probably help out at least a little. If we were to start a food drive of national proportions through churches and word of mouth, coupled with prayer against the famine, united under one thought, with the love of Jesus in our hearts, crying out to God for deliverance for these people, I believe we can break the grip of death that is upon that land through the grace of God.

Lord, I pray to you Father, that your love and the love of Jesus might touch the hearts of your people. That they might see the terrible oppression that is upon that land and all lands and realize that they have the tools available to them to call up your glory to break the chains of darkness. Lord, I know that just one prayer can make a difference. So, I just call on you Lord, to hear the cry of your child. Please Lord, stop the death. Call up your armies, your people on this earth. Pull them together under one thought, under one God and use your mighty strength. Amen

Lord, your glory is manifest everywhere. The depths of your magnificence is unknown to us. I see your way in every situation. Glory to God. Here is what I saw this Christmas.

My dog has been acting a little weird for the last 2 weeks. I have had her to the vet about 3 times. When I took her in the first time, the doctor notified me that she had heart worms. I was shocked. Vets over the years had told me to keep the dog treated, that heart worms are prevalent and very dangerous. Stubborn me. I just knew it was a crock or it couldn’t happen to my dog. Wrong! She’s now at the vet with the motor control of her right side gone. She has heart worms. A piece of one probably broke off and lodged in her brain. Had I just listened and acted accordingly, my beloved pet would probably be healthy and at home right now.

The human race has heart worms. Those that don’t need protection, those that do need a cure, some are too far gone. Satan is prevalent and very dangerous. Without proper protection, (Jesus), you are susceptible. The doctor (the Bible and the church) is telling you to get the cure. Be obedient or you will die.

NOTE added 9/5/21: I had to put Hooter down that same week. I was devastated.

Righteousness

Not to be confused with legalities. There is a separation of righteousness from righteousness. There is a carnal righteousness and a spiritual righteousness.

Matt 5:20 says,

For I say unto you, that except your righteousness exceed the righteousness of the Scribes and the Pharisees, he shall in no case enter into the kingdom of God.

Matt 5:10 says,

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake; for theirs is the kingdom of God.

Spiritual righteousness, righteousness of heart. Heart seems to be synonymous with wisdom. Greek? Hebrew? If this is true, then righteousness of heart would be the same as righteousness of wisdom. Following that line of thought, wisdom is gained through instruction and knowledge of Our Lord Jesus (Eph 3:14 & Phil 3:8). Ask therefore of God, for that wisdom (Jas 1:5). It is not an easy task, nor is it quick, but the treasures are without question desirable and acceptable to our almighty God (2 Pet 1:2)
