Make The Way Straight

Updated: Apr 7, 2024

When you plow a field, to make the first row straight, you set your eyes on a point at the other end of the field and go to it without looking back. At the end of the row, the measure of your focus is proven by the straightness of your row.

It is imperative that a person's spiritual eyes be set unwaveringly on truth. For that to happen, first of all, a person has to understand that they ARE spiritual and can see with those eyes. Once that revelation hits, then the concept of truth has to set it. The person inherently desires truth. So, understanding, believing and acting on the premise of a person's spirituality, births a desire to look for truth. God in His unwavering love for that person, sets His eyes on that person and goes to that person. This "going" is Christ.

2Chr 30 is a call out to the people of God. In that day they were of Israel. In this day, they are "Christians". As they lost their way.....No, not lost, turned away! from the "end of the row", their course went off and even into the ditch. However, in the infinite power of the love of God embodied in a man, Moses, a leader and priest of the Most High God, their focus is called back to the point of life at the end of the row.

We are now the one's called out to hear and act on the Word of The High Priest and Leader of the host, Jesus Christ. To turn from our own directions and understandings and to do all that we are designed to do by Him Who designed us for the fulfillment and infilling of His love, which is His Glory.

2Chr 31: 20 And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the LORD his God.

21 And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.

His spiritual eyes unwaveringly on the end of the row, made for a straight row :)

(Which incidentally is the shortest distance to it)

Every other row will be anchored to that first one, so get it right ;)
